What Family Means to Me
Everything. My family has made me who I am today and without them, I don’t know where I would be. Family is something I cherish and never take for granted. Throughout law school, I worked for the Child Advocacy Clinic as a law guardian for neglected and abused children. I advocated for disabled children’s rights to received social security benefits, and assisted immigrant children who were seeking asylum here in the United States. Working with these children solidified my understanding as to the importance of family and how the structure of one can make life so much better.
What I Love About Being an Attorney
I never had a doubt in my mind that I wanted to practice family law when I graduated law school. My favorite part about being an attorney is that I get to practice in a field that I truly enjoy. Being a family law attorney does not only involve helping people through a legal issue, but helping them manage and get through some of the most difficult times in their life. The job can be sad, it can be exciting, and it can sometimes get a little dramatic. But the job is always rewarding.
What I do When I am not Working
Horses have always been a huge part of my life. I have been riding horses since I was 6-years-old. My horse is now retired, at 25, but riding her is still my favorite past time. I also enjoy going to the gym, laying on the beach until the sun goes down, and binge watching The Office on Netflix.
